The Ideal 176863 Diverter Valve Cartridge with Motor 174813 is a replacement component designed to control the switching between central heating and domestic hot water in Ideal combi boilers.

The diverter valve directs heated water either to the radiators or to the hot water tap. When the cartridge or motor fails, the boiler may not switch correctly between heating and hot water modes.

Common symptoms of a faulty diverter valve include:

• No hot water from taps

• Heating working but hot water not working

• Hot water but radiators staying cold

• Boiler stuck in heating mode

• Water temperature fluctuating
