Replace a faulty boiler temperature sensor with this new Alpha 1.039476 flow and return sensor. It fits the Alpha E-Tec 28 boiler with GC number 47-532-69.
The sensor monitors the temperature of the heating water at the relevant flow or return position. It then sends this information to the boiler controls. Therefore, a faulty sensor may cause inaccurate temperature readings, unstable operation, error codes or boiler lockouts.
However, similar symptoms can result from damaged wiring, poor connections, circulation problems or another boiler component. Consequently, a qualified engineer should diagnose the appliance before ordering a replacement.
