Description
Alpha 3.012752 Diverter Valve
The Alpha 3.012752 Diverter Valve is a replacement component designed for selected Alpha CB, CD and HE CB boilers.
The diverter valve is responsible for directing heated water between the central heating circuit and domestic hot water supply. It ensures the boiler responds correctly when hot water is demanded while maintaining efficient heating performance.
A faulty diverter valve can cause heating and hot water issues, including poor hot water delivery, radiators warming when taps are opened, or inconsistent boiler operation.
Replacing a worn or damaged diverter valve can restore correct water flow and improve overall system reliability.

What Does a Diverter Valve Do?
The diverter valve controls whether heated water is sent to:
- The central heating system
- Domestic hot water taps
When a hot water tap is opened, the valve automatically diverts heat to the domestic hot water circuit. Once demand stops, it returns operation to the heating system.
Common Signs of a Faulty Diverter Valve
- No hot water
- Poor hot water performance
- Radiators heating when hot water is used
- Boiler cycling incorrectly
- Heating not switching properly
- Internal water flow issues
