The Ideal 170996 DHW thermistor kit is a genuine manufacturer temperature sensor designed to monitor domestic hot water (DHW) temperature in a wide range of Ideal combi boilers, including Isar, Evo HE and Esprit models. The thermistor sends temperature readings to the PCB, allowing the boiler to regulate hot water accurately and safely.

A faulty DHW thermistor can cause common issues such as water running too hot or too cold, fluctuating temperatures, boiler lockouts, or DHW-related fault codes. Replacing the failed sensor with this Ideal 170996 thermistor kit restores correct hot water performance and improves user comfort.
