What Does the Ignition Electrode Do?
The ignition electrode produces a high-voltage spark which ignites the gas burner during boiler startup.
It is an essential safety and operating component within the ignition system.
Common Fault Symptoms
A faulty ignition electrode may cause:
- Boiler ignition failure
- No spark at startup
- Boiler lockout faults
- Intermittent ignition problems
- Burner failing to light
- Unreliable boiler operation
