Potterton 407677 Flame Monitor and Ignition Control

Replace a faulty boiler ignition controller with this new Potterton 407677 flame monitor and ignition control. Potterton also classifies this component as a boiler control box.

It fits selected Potterton Profile, Netaheat Profile, Profile Prima and Celsia boilers. Moreover, it is suitable for the listed British Gas and Scottish Gas F2 appliances.

The control box manages the ignition sequence and monitors whether a flame has been established. Therefore, a faulty unit may cause ignition failure, intermittent firing, unexpected shutdowns or boiler lockouts.

However, similar symptoms can result from electrodes, wiring, the gas supply or another component. Consequently, a Gas Safe registered engineer should diagnose the appliance before ordering this replacement.
