Worcester 87161425000 10-Litre Boiler Expansion Vessel
The Worcester 87161425000 expansion vessel is a new 10-litre replacement pressure vessel for selected Worcester CDI and SBI boilers.
A boiler expansion vessel accommodates the increase in water volume as the central-heating system warms up. Therefore, it helps control system pressure and protects other boiler components.
A failed or discharged vessel may cause rapidly rising pressure, water discharge from the pressure relief valve or frequent pressure loss. However, a qualified engineer should test the system and diagnose the fault before replacing the vessel.
Worcester lists part number 87161425000 as obsolete. Consequently, availability may be limited. This new replacement is suitable where the exact part number and appliance compatibility match.
